Forget about SEO and Trackbacks

February 22, 2010

If you’ve wondered what’s happened to me, I’ve been taking some much needed time off to get myself centered and rethink a new approach for my blog. My husband and I recently bought a house and it has provided me with so much great material that I’d like to share with my readers.

I am re-tooling my site so that I can just write without thinking about SEO and trackbacks. I’d like to hear more from my readers. Have you read these posts? Are they exciting? Do they give you the information you need? Do you want more?  What kind of information about land and conservation are you looking for? Let me know.

My whole life I’ve dreamed of being an architect and I’m exploring how to pursue that now. Sustainable architecture, green building design – there’s so much going on in these areas and I get really excited when I think about bringing the sustainability of the natural world together with the built environment.

Two years ago, I got married and realized my life should be more fun. I’ve been passionate about conservation for so long, but there’s more to it than that now. My interests have evolved and it’s time to start writing about this great big green world we live in.

Let me tell you, leaving a secure job in July 2008 wasn’t the safest thing to do. I’ve been forced to do a lot of soul searching. I am in the middle of evaluating my life, my skills, looking within myself to find my strengths and trying like hell to market myself in this economy. Finding a job in this market is tough. But, if there’s one thing I’ve learned in the last two years, it’s that we all have to be passionate about what we do. It’s not just a job. This is life. I want to make my life fun while I make a difference. To do that, life can’t be all about work.

So don’t give up on checking in for the latest news about my own recent experiences with home buying and my pursuit of the ultimate career in sustainability.
